We are very pleased to be associated with Champion Liquid Feeds/ Molafos as their commitment to Australia’s rural industries, and their commitment to excellence is completely consistent with the objectives of the Certified Australian Angus Beef program.

A number of other sponsors support individual categories within the program, and they are listed below.

At the present time awards are made for excellence in the production, and food service sectors of the program. In future the awards program will be expanded to reward excellence in other areas of the program.

Awards in the production sector are based on cattle performance in the feedlot, together with chiller assessment and MSA grading performance. Results are weighted by consignment size. Awards in this sector are made biannually, and are presented in both spring and autumn each year. We believe this awards program to be the worlds largest carcass competition, based on commercial outcomes, with about 50,000 head of cattle being evaluated in each tranche of the program.

In the food service sector, awards are based on effective marketing of Certified Australian Angus Beef, volumes of product sold, and range of cuts used. These awards are made annually.

The latest awards, Spring 2009 (for the period 1/01/09 to 30/06/09), were presented at a function at the BMW Melbourne Showroom.
